Vatech said that the U.S. Food and Administration has certified EzOrtho, artificial intelligence-based teeth revision software.

EzOrtho is calibration software developed by Ewoosoft, a subsidiary of Vatech, and features a function that analyzes the shape of the tooth-bone-face with AI to provide the measuring points necessary for the correction of the patient’s teeth.

Until now, doctors mainly had to dot the X-ray film directly, and if they lacked experience, it took a lot of time. According to the company, using EzOrtho doctors will now be able to measure calibration points in one to two minutes with a single click.

The software also provides various functions, such as the provision of multiple calibration methods and automatic analysis, 3D photo simulation, and same-day consultation support.

With the certification, the company plans to enter the U.S. market along with the high brand power it has established through its low-dose radiation equipment.

North America has the largest calibration market in the world, accounting for 45 percent of the global calibration market.
