JW Pharmaceutical said Monday that it has released Scren Gel Spray, a foam-type disinfectant.

Scren Gel Spray is a product that disinfects wounds with four ingredients -- chlorpheniramine maleate, cetyl pyridinium, dibucain and naphazoline hydrochloride.

The product makes it more convenient for customers to apply to various wounds caused by outdoor activities as it is easy to administer and maintain as the foam does not easily flow down.

Notably, the medication’s non-alcoholic ingredients minimize skin irritation and the possibility of contamination by eliminating the need to touch the wound.

“It is important to use disinfectants before dressing the wound as it is difficult to remove infections with only tap water and saline solution,” a company official said.

Scren Gel Spray is available at local pharmacies.
