Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI)'s U.S. branch held a webinar to share SNUBH's experience in treating COVID-19 patients with its U.S. counterparts.

The two institutions held a similar webinar with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. last Friday, and another with NYU Langone Medical Center on Tuesday.

According to KHIDI, the most recent webinar with NYU Langone Medical Center was held after the U.S. hospital requested information about the treatment experience for COVID-19 at a Korean hospital to the KHIDI's U.S. Branch.

Professor Kim Eui-seok of the Department of Infection Medicine & Infection Management shared the diagnosis and treatment procedures.

The professor provided information on patient diagnosis using diagnostic kits, negative pressure ward operation, a system to prevent infection of medical workers, and infection prevention concerning medical equipment.

"We will actively cooperate with hospitals affiliated with the Korea International Medical Association (KIMA) to provide information on infectious diseases when there is a request from U.S. hospitals about Korea's COVID-19 treatment experience and system," said an official at KHIDI's U.S. branch.
