Wonkwang University Hospital and its cooperative company, NanoFocusRay, which specializes in digital X-ray imaging technology, released a new computed tomography (CT) scanner, Phion 2.0, at the recent conference of Arab Health 2020 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

Phion 2.0 is a low-dose mobile CT scanner. NanoFocusRay said it reduced radiation to a quarter of the existing products and applied an excellent artificial intelligence image processing technology.

Wonkwang University Hospital Director Yoon Kown-ha shares a moment with Middle East participants in Arab Health 2020 in Dubai.

Arab Health 2020 is the largest medical equipment exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa that drew 4,200 enterprises from 64 countries. It is one of the global medical equipment shows, along with the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, U.S., and MEDICA Trade Fair in Dusseldorf, Germany.

"We introduced our excellent technology to the rapidly rising Middle East market and signed business rights with SILOS Intelligent Solution of Kuwait for sales right sin six GCC countries," Wonkwang University Hospital Director Yoon Kwon-ha said.

Also, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates requested the Korean hospital to attract their patients hand over know-know in running education programs, he added.
