Bayer Korea announced that it has appointed Freda Lin as its new president, who will take office early next year. Lin is a global leader with 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry across Asian markets, the company said.

The new Bayer Korea head has held executive positions in sales, marketing, and strategy at GlaxoSmithKline’s Taiwan, China, Asia Pacific, and U.K. branches, gaining expertise in the global pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, she demonstrated leadership as managing director and country division head pharmaceuticals of Bayer Taiwan.

“I’m very pleased to head Bayer in Korea, of the most innovative countries in the world,” Lin said. “I am committed to pursuing mutual growth with the Korean society based on Bayer’s expertise and knowledge in the life science sector while contributing to a healthier future for human beings.”
