Seoul Pharmaceuticals said Wednesday that it has signed memoranda of understanding with two South American companies to export its finished drug products.

Under the MOU, the Korean company plans to export CH.V, a collagen film used after surgery, to Biomax, a Brazilian firm. The company will also ship its erectile dysfunction film treatment to Distoloza of Peru. The Peruvian firm will supply the product to other South American countries such as Bolivia, Colombia and Ecuador.

Last year, Seoul Pharmaceutical signed contracts worth 136.8 billion won ($126.5 million) to export its “Smart Film” products.

The company’s original Smart Film technology allows its drugs to have superior stability while reducing the bitter flavor of the drug.

They signed the MOU while the delegations composed of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Latin America last month.
