LG Chem said Monday that it has released Y-Solution, the company’s premium hyaluronic acid filler lineup.

The lineup includes three products -- Y-Solution 360, Y-Solution 540, Y-Solution 720.

Y-Solution 360 treats fine wrinkle areas around the face, Y-Solution 540 treats prominent areas of the face such as the forehead and zygoma, and Y-Solution 720 treats nasolabial folds and wrinkles around the cheek and jaw.

The most important feature of the newly launched product is that the elasticity and cohesion are more than twice higher when compared to existing domestic products. The company expects that such features can have volume improvement effects.

According to research published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, the higher the elasticity of the hyaluronic acid component, the stronger force it has when lifting the skin. The research also showed that the stronger cohesiveness, the stronger binding force is for its hyaluronic acid particles.

The company stated that Y-Solution's elasticity and cohesion were significantly higher than those of conventional hyaluronic acid filler. Especially, Y-Solution 720 has twice the amount of flexibility and cohesion compared to traditional products.

“Y-Solution has excellent volume improving effects and can keep the volume shape straight after procedures,” said Kim Moo-yong, head of the Y-Solution division at LG Chem. “Based on the improved product quality, we plan to foster the product as the main brand that represents the domestic premium filler market.”

The company also held a symposium to advertise the unique features of its products by inviting 100 medical staffs related to cosmetic surgery at the Lotte Signiel Hotel in Seoul Saturday.
