Korea University Ansan Hospital (KUAH) signed a contract with POSCO DAEWOO to continue providing medical services to underdeveloped areas in Papua, Indonesia.

Korea University Ansan Hospital (KUAH) Director Choi Byung-min (fourth from left) and POSCO DAEWOO Director Hong Jin-sook (fourth from right) commemorate the signing of their business agreement at KUAH.

KUAH Director Choi Byung-min, medical volunteer director, Cho Won-min from the cardiothoracic surgery department and POSCO DAEWOO Director Hong Jin-sook attended the signing ceremony.

The contract follows the signing of medical volunteer cooperation projects made between the two sides in 2017. KUAH said that it expects the two organizations will continually provide medical support in underdeveloped regions.

"Our business agreement with POSCO DAEWOO will allow for a more planned and structured medical volunteer work," Director Choi said. "Through continual joint medical volunteer work, KUAH and POSCO DAEWOO hope to develop cooperation."
