President Berset and his entourage visited the biopharmaceutical production plant after hearing an introduction about the company and its businesses, from Kim Tae-han, president and CEO of Samsung BioLogics.

According to Samsung BioLogics, the Swiss government arranged the visit as the company maintains close cooperative relations with Swiss businesses.

Starting with a long-term supply agreement with Roche in 2013, Samsung BioLogics has signed biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing agreements with various Swiss companies. Also, the company has been closely cooperating with its Swiss counterparts for the core parts of biopharmaceutical production, including incubators, since its foundation in 2011.

Switzerland is a leading exporter of pharmaceuticals and has one of world's best pharmaceutical and biotechnology research infrastructures, including global pharmaceutical companies such as Roche and Norvatis.
