Vieworks, which specializes in medical imaging, said Wednesday that it has launched VISQUE InVivo Smart, a bio-imaging device that analyzes high-speed fluorescence signals of living animals such as experimental rats in real time.

The VISQUE InVivo Smart launched by Vieworks is a compact, affordable, real-time flora and fauna bio-imaging analysis equipment.

Bio-imaging equipment refers to a device that studies the bio-anatomical structure and function of laboratory animals. It also quantifies and evaluates the pharmacological responses of the cells within the animals.

The newly launched equipment added a high-speed image shooting function of up to 30 frames per second, improving the disadvantages of the existing equipment. The device portrays identical images in a real-time high-speed shooting, allowing users to control the lens while checking the image. The new device is also easy to move as it weighs only about 15 kilograms.

Afterwards, CleVue, a software analyzing bio-images developed by the company, generates data and report by analyzing image data captured by VISQUE InVivo Smart. CleVue supports more than 10 analysis algorithms and image maps that can quickly and easily analyze the distribution and movement of drugs in laboratory animals.

The company has also finished patent registrations for built-in analysis algorithm, self-designed footswitch, sliding stage and position marker used in the machine.

“The company will continue to offer a new paradigm in the field of biotechnology research by providing image observation and quantitative analysis tools for research animals,” the company said in a statement.
