Pfizer has elected Kim Sun-A to head Pfizer’s Essential Health division in Japan, the company’s Korean branch said Monday.

Kim has acted as the regional marketing chief of Pfizer’s Essential Health division in the Asian Pacific region before being tapped to lead the Japanese division Monday.

Kim joined Pfizer Korea’s marketing division in 2001 to head the new business development team, Pfizer Korea said. She has since contributed significantly to the growth of the Korean market by directing other divisions and established successful marketing strategies for the Asia Pacific region, the company said.

“Korean executives have won recognition for their business achievements and capabilities that led them to enter the global market, enhancing Pfizer’s status on an international stage,” Pfizer Korea said.
