GE Healthcare Korea names Francis Van Parys as new CEO

GE Healthcare Korea has appointed Francis Van Parys as their new chief executive officer, the company said Monday.

Parys, a graduate of the University of Ghent in Belgium, has nearly 16 years of experience in GE Healthcare and GE Consumer & Industrial businesses. He served as general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa commercial operations and product management within Life Sciences. He also held key positions in marketing and sales within GE Consumer & Industrial, before joining GE Healthcare.

“I am very confident that the extensive experience and leadership capabilities that Francis has accumulated in global healthcare market will bring the new era of partnership with Korea customers,” said Sean Burke, CEO, of GE Healthcare Asia-Pacific. “Parys’s job will also include working with medical professionals and bio-pharma players to accelerate the growth of GE Healthcare Korea GE 헬스케어 코리아 and help people live healthier.”

Parys will live in Seoul, Korea, with his family.

GE Healthcare is an $18 billion business unit of GE, providing innovative healthcare technology for more affordable and better healthcare to people around the world.
