The Green Cross units plan to expand into the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a rapidly growing market of more than 600 million people, with a strategy that takes different regional export environments into account.
Thailand, the second-largest economy in the ASEAN, spent $25 billion on healthcare in 2014, the largest amount among the 10-nation group.
“We expect our company’s excellent diagnostic and testing technology and services will find sufficient customers in Southeast Asia,” said Lee Eun-hee 이은희, director of Green Cross Laboratories.
Green Cross MS also showed enthusiasm for the cooperative agreement.
“This MOU will likely serve as a bridgehead for the expansion of the market for diagnostic reagents and medical devices of Green Cross MS in the ASEAN market,” said Kim Young-pil 김영필, CEO of Green Cross MS.
